FAQs
How do I request freelance work or a commission?
Head on over to my contact page or email me at LachlanMontie@gmail.com! Please provide as many details about your project as possible, including but not limited to: scale of project, timeline needed, reference photos, personal or business information, reference photos, and any relevant budget needs.
What type of files do you provide?
I draw digitally and am able to provide high resolution rasters as JPEGs, PNGs, TIFFs, and PDFs.
What is your turnaround time?
This all depends on the project, but typically anywhere between 2-6 weeks gives me enough time to work new projects in with my schedule. If your project is working within a specific timeframe please let me know. If you are working with a rush deadline, I can often accommodate, but will need to know details as soon as possible. Rushes will be subject to additional costs (agreed upon before the start of the project).
Can I repost your art?
You can always reshare my art on your Instagram stories using the “airplane” button! If you are interested in reposting my art to your feed make sure you 1. tag me in the post and in the first line of the description, 2. do not edit, crop, or put a filter on my art, 3. use only my correct pronouns (they/them), 4. do not use my art as an advertisement for your brand without proper compensation.
How do you determine pricing?
Price is determined by scope and scale of the project, turnaround time, intricacy and detail. Most projects will require an initial 50% deposit, with the final 50% paid upon completion. This helps me to have security within the project, and helps to ensure you that I will complete the project. If you are working with a specific budget, feel free to let me know.
What software do you use to draw and design?
I draw primarily in Procreate using a first generation iPad Pro and Apple Pencil. I also use Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and sometimes InDesign.
